On Friday January 9th, Field Elementary had a spelling bee. The fourth and fifth grade classes each had a spelling bees in theirclassrooms to decide the three participants for their class. The three winners of the class went on to participate in the spelling. The students compete in multiple rounds until there is a winner declared. The last round was Kiana Jordan (Field's winner last year) and Ben Mowery. It lasted a few turns until Ben won on the word "Silhouette." Ben is in Mrs. Schmidt's class and his class was very happy for him. Ben will going on to the district spelling bee in February and if Ben isn't able to attend, Kiana will take his place.
